How Much Do Digital Marketers Earn (in Singapore)?

With the world spending more time in the digital realm than ever before, digital marketing too has  evolved from being a marketing side note to the lead strategy for many companies, making digital marketers more in demand than ever.

While you may have heard that the money is in digital marketing, we’re sure you’ve wondered –  how much are we talking exactly? In this article we bring you some insider information of how much bacon our local digital marketers are bringing home.

 

Together with Finest People, a recruitment agency specializing in sales and marketing positions within the digital media and online marketing industry, we have compiled an estimated salary guide for the digital marketing industry. All salaries below are displayed are in Singapore dollars (SGD).

Director Level

Director : $180,000 to $250,000

Digital Marketing Director : $150,000 to $220,000

Sales Director : $120,000 + $45,000 (Commission per On Target Earnings)

An expected experience level for a Director’s role is generally twelve years and up.

Managerial Level

Senior Digital Marketing Manager : $100,000 to $145,000

Lead Campaign Manager : $100,000

Digital Marketing Manager : $84,000 to $100,000

Marketing Manager : $60,000 to $80,000

Campaign manager : $60,000

Account manager : $48,000 + Commission

The managerial level salaries have the greatest variation as it largely depends on years of experience as well as technical know how.

For example, the Campaign Manager’s salary of $60,000 requires 3-5 years of experience while the Digital Marketing Manager’s $84,000 to $100,000  is remuneration for a minimum of 7 years of experience. Of course, managers with technical knowledge of digital marketing will be paid more.

Executive Level

Marketing Executive : $45,000 to $80,000

Media Planner : $60,000 to $80,000

Junior Executive : $30,000 to $40,000

To note, while these roles exists in general marketing too, the reflected salaries here applies to digital marketing roles.
